Drawing on Heritage and Roman Legacy

The Centurions’ name be inspired by the ancient roots of Chichester itself, a city steeped in Roman lore and shaped by its connection to ‘The Centurion Way,’ a Roman railway path of old. With a history that stretches back to the Slazenger Open of 1975, Chichester’s club has seen its share of squash legends pass through its halls. The likes of Geoff Hunt, Qamar Zaman, and Mohibullah Khan once graced their courts, and now the Centurions be lookin’ to carve their own legend in the Super League annals.

Inspiring Young Centurions – A Strategy for the Next Generation

As the Squash Super League seeks to ignite passion in the youth, the Centurions will host a Bronze Junior event and a one-hour clinic before home matches. Captain Vail shared his excitement on the chance to inspire the next generation:

“Our juniors, from Under 9s to teens, will have the rare chance to meet and learn from top pros like Paul. Watching these players on court will light a fire in their hearts.”

With talent, history, and ambition, the Chichester Centurions be preparin' fer battle, and ye can be sure they’ll give us Buccaneers a fight to remember. But mark our words: when the Buccaneers and Centurions clash, Bristol’s colors will fly the highest! Arrr!
